The college process can be confusing, frustrating, and full of misinformation.  You have lots of questions. I can help answer them. As a college advisor, I can help make this journey a more enjoyable ride.  Each student’s situation is unique, and the college process is complex.  There is no magic involved, no secret formula, and no guarantees.  However, a knowledgeable professional can provide comforting guidance and help the student provide admissions offices with a complete and accurate picture of who the student is and how the student is able to make the rest of the world take notice of him/her.

​My Perspective

With careful planning, the typical mania and stress normally associated with the college application process can be reduced and managed.  It cannot be eliminated, because any series of events that is guided by restrictive deadlines, dependent upon continued recall of academic facts and figures, and conditioned upon excellent performance, will not be free of tension.

​My Approach

• Get to know the student’s personality, plans, hopes, and dreams.
• Put a great deal of time and effort into evaluating colleges and developing the college list. The goal should be to put together a “list of first choices”.
• Ask the student and family to think about schools they may not have previously considered.
• Stay ahead of any deadlines.
